Welcome to the IDEAS Project Digital Repository

Here we’re building a collection of digital and AI tools designed to make vocational education more inclusive and accessible for everyone.

Through our Erasmus+ IDEAS project, we’ve been researching technologies that can genuinely help disadvantaged learners, whether they’re facing financial challenges, living with disabilities, or dealing with learning difficulties. These tools are meant to support vocational teachers and trainers as they guide students through international mobility experiences, from planning all the way through to follow-up.

What’s in this repository:

Accessibility tools – Text-to-speech, speech-to-text, and language simplification features for students with disabilities or language barriers
Personalized learning – Technologies that adapt to each student’s needs, helping them feel more confident about studying abroad
Mobility management – Digital solutions that cut down on paperwork and improve communication between schools and families

Access: Go to aistudio.google.com(opens in a new tab) and log in.
Playground: Click "Playground" on the left sidebar.
Model: Select Gemini 2.5 Flash Preview TTS in the right settings panel.
Mode: Toggle "Single speaker audio" to ON.

Voice: Choose a profile (Charon, Puck, Fenrir, Kore).
Instruct: Enter tone directions (e.g. "Professional news anchor").
Input: Paste your exact text in the main prompt box.
Run: Click "Run". Download the audio (.wav) via the three dots (⋮).

Troubleshooting Limits: If you hit a "Rate Limit" error (approx. 15 requests/min), simply pause and wait 1–2 minutes before clicking Run again. Daily quotas may also apply.
