Evaluation Tool

Here is how to use it:

• • Step 1: Review or Configure the Pillars (Optional) By default, the tool is loaded with the official IDEAS project pillars and weights. If you need to adjust these percentages for a specific use case (ensuring they always add up to 100%), or if you want to add a custom pillar, simply click the “Configure Pillars” tab.

  • Step 2: Score the Tool In the “Evaluate” tab, enter the name of the software and select the target audience. Rate the tool from 1 (Lowest) to 5 (Highest) across the different pillars. (Note: The “Red Line” rule is active. If a tool receives a score of 1 on its primary Impact, it will be automatically excluded, regardless of its other scores).

    • Step 3: Save and Compare Once all scores are entered, the matrix will automatically generate a final score and a recommendation status (Recommended, Consider, or Not Recommended). Click “Save Evaluation to Session List” to add it to your table at the bottom of the screen.

• Step 4: Download your Report After evaluating one or multiple tools, click the “Download Print-Friendly PDF” button. This will generate a clean, formatted document containing your results and the exact pillar weights used during your session, perfect for sharing with your team or including in project reports.
